Cristina I. Johnson is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who is passionate about caring and treating children of all ages. Cristina started her career in health care focusing on vaccine research in 2010 as a Blood Processing Technician for Vaxdesign Sanofi Pasteur in Orlando, Florida; and upon graduating the University of Central Florida became a Research Associate where she participated on several vaccine trials.

She was also part of the Medical Emergency Response Team. She continued her education and received a Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Clinical Research Regulations at University of Florida. She then continued to pursue her love for patient care, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and soon after, Master in Nursing from ECPI University.

Cristina began her nursing career in 2017, as a Vascular and Thoracic Intensive Care Unit nurse for Advent Health Orlando. Although she worked caring for adults in the critical care unit her love for pediatrics remained. She later transferred to Advent Health Celebration to work in the Pre-Admission Surgical Testing department where she was able to begin to see some pediatric patients.

At the completion of her Master in Nursing degree she became a nurse practitioner and began to see pediatric patients in the Orlando/Kissimmee area caring and treating for children of all ages. “I always knew I was meant to always work in pediatrics. I used to babysit when I was younger and tutored Spanish at my middle and high school. It may have taken me a bit to finally work with kids, but the wait was worth it, I just love my pediatric patients!”

Cristina is passionate about newborn care and the growth and development of children. “I love treating all my pediatric patients, especially when I get to see them from the very start at their newborn visit and watch them grow. My heart grows bigger every time I see my patients develop into amazing children ready to make a stamp in this world.” Cristina enjoys all things Disney, going to sporting events and cheering on her favorite teams, spending time with her husband and 2 boys, and traveling.
